Veterans Day, November 11, 2009 One-Day Art and Mandarin Workshop for Children San Francisco, CA Instructor: Lin Wei, M.A., Central Institute of Fine Arts, Beijing This One-Day Art and Mandarin Workshop was designed for children from 4 to 9 years of age. It offered children a unique opportunity to improve their fine arts skills as well as sharpen their fluency in Mandarin. Drawing and painting are excellent activities in which to incorporate language learning exercises. The workshop will introduce Chinese vocabulary, Chinese songs, and Chinese poetry. Outdoor landscape drawings were created on an afternoon field trip.
