Dec 21, 2012

Friends of Our Parenting Place gathered on the evening of Friday, December 20, 2012, at the USC Institute for Genetic Medicine (IGM) Art Gallery in Los Angeles to celebrate the 6000 year old Persian tradition, Yalda, also known as Yule or Winter Solstice.  The event’s atmosphere of art, culture and learning focused on Yalda’s metaphor of light overcoming darkness as the days following the solstice will become longer, rekindling hope and community spirit for a bright 2013.
